We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Network Engineer with experience in both the access and core network domains to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing network systems and configurations, as well as experience working with vendors to ensure seamless network operations.  You will play a key role in designing, deploying, and maintaining the mobile network infrastructure while ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.  You will have opportunities to work on multiple nodes of the network.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain mobile network infrastructure, including access and core network components
  • Manage network systems and configurations, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure seamless network operations and resolve issues promptly
  • Develop and implement network security policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of our network
  • Analyze network performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Participate in incident response and problem management, providing technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex network issues
  • Provide technical support and training to junior engineers and other teams as needed
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, new technologies, and best practices to continuously improve network operations

Skills and Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in mobile network engineering, with a focus on core network domains
  • Strong understanding of mobile network protocols, including 3G, 4G, and 5G
  • Experience with network management systems, such as NetConf, SNMP, and RESTful APIs
  • Linux operating system knowledge as well as scripting languages, such as Python or Bash.
  • Detailed protocol knowledge common protocols and interfaces used to enable mobile networks, including: SS7: Signaling System 7, including SCCP and MAP, Diameter, SIP, SMPP
  • Experience working with vendors, including negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or comparable experience.
