We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Controller to join our leadership team and drive financial accuracy, efficiency, and insight across the organization.

The Controller will serve as a key leader in the Accounting/Finance department, responsible for managing all aspects of financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, and accounting operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with deep technical accounting expertise, strong business acumen, and an exceptional eye for detail. This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can partner cross-functionally and support strategic decision-making with reliable, data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.

  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes.

  • Maintain and enhance robust internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.

  • Proactively research, interpret, and implement new accounting standards and guidance, ensuring compliance and best practices across the organization.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to anticipate financial needs and proactively address accounting or operational challenges.

  • Analyze complex accounting issues and provide clear, actionable recommendations.

  • Lead the audit process and liaise with external auditors and consultants.

  • Develop and mentor a high-performing accounting team.

  • Evaluate and implement systems and process improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
     
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Serve as a key resource to senior leadership for technical accounting questions and special projects.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and corporate experience.

  • Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

  • Demonstrated experience leading audits, managing teams, and implementing internal controls.

  • Strong ability to research and apply new accounting guidance and standards.

  • Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar) and Excel.

  • A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate issues, identify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-growth company.

  • Experience working with international entities or overseeing global accounting operations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
     
  • Deep, technical knowledge of FASB and other accounting standards​​​​​​​
